It’s the sixties, man, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is returning to the stage for season 3, with new cast and characters (both fictional and based on real people). Amazon’s period drama stars Rachel Brosnahan as the titular Midge Maisel, a former housewife whose perfect life collapsed when her husband cheated on her, and who chooses to funnel her angst and quick wit into a career as a stand-up comedian.

In season 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Midge goes on tour with heartthrob singer Shy Baldwin, while her ex-husband Joel attempts to open his own club and Midge’s parents find themselves facing money problems. Meanwhile, Midge’s manager, Susie, has taken on veteran comic Sophie Lennon as a client, only to realize she may have bitten off more than she can chew with Sophie’s strong personality, fragile ego, and ridiculous demands.
