Interest in the much-debated Justice League Snyder Cut continues to climb by the day, with Zack Snyder now releasing a new image of Aquaman at Superman’s grave. Snyder departed the movie due to a family tragedy, with Justice League being subject to massive reshoots that took the film in a drastically different direction from his original plan. Since then, the grassroots campaign to persuade Warner Bros. to release Snyder’s original cut of the movie has been complimented with a growing number of cast and crew members making their support for it known, while Snyder himself has done plenty to drive up demand for it by releasing images and storyboards from his cut on social media.

Snyder’s latest image of Arthur Curry fits right in with one of his earlier teases relating to the Justice League’s retrieval of Superman’s body. In Snyder’s previous post, Arthur stands alongside Barry Allen, Victor Stone, and Diana Prince overlooking Kal-El’s casket, clearly a snippet of the League’s original efforts to revive the Man of Steel in Snyder’s version of the movie. This stands in contrast to how the scene is presented in the theatrical version, with only Barry and Victor visiting the cemetery to bring Superman’s body back to the Kryptonian scout ship.
Snyder released this latest image to The NiceCast, and it follows a series of social media posts the director has made in the past week showing scenes from his version of Justice League. Last week saw Snyder release a new image of Barry Allen with his girlfriend Iris West, played by Kiersey Clemons and deleted entirely from the theatrical cut. Snyder would then follow up with an image of a time-traveling Flash from the movie’s original ending, along with a post featuring Cyborg in STAR Labs preparing to defend his father from Steppenwolf.
My love for Zack Snyder is deeper than one film. He represents a unique identity and confidence in self that is difficult to obtain. BvS also changed the entire course of my life. For him to share this image of Jason Momoa with me means everything. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut pic.twitter.com/GDpBqIixD5

Meanwhile, several cast and crew members have made their own social media teases of the Snyder Cut, beginning with Jason Momoa posting an image showing Aquaman impaling Steppenwolf in the movie’s climactic battle. Storyboard artist Jay Oliva subsequently released concept art of Superman punching Steppenwolf while simultaneously blasting him with his heat vision. These teases were followed by Ray Fisher posting a snippet of Victor Stone sitting outside of a college dean’s office from Snyder’s original cut.
These most recent teases have arrived as part of an ongoing surge in attention for the Justice League Snyder Cut. Owing to recent interviews with Jesse Eisenberg, Junkie XL, and Momoa, Snyder’s version of the superhero ensemble is seeing a clear rise in media attention and public interest. Momoa himself has done a great deal to feed the ongoing hype, confirming to have seen the Snyder Cut earlier this year. The Aquaman star would reiterate that point in a more recent interview and made his support for the Snyder Cut’s release iron clad by stating, “I think the public needs to see it.“
With the two-year anniversary of the theatrical debut of Justice League rapidly approaching, the ongoing social media teases by Snyder and the movie’s cast and crew show no signs of stopping. Meanwhile, there has also been an unmistakable deluge in mainstream interest for the Snyder Cut to be released. Where the current wave of attention for Snyder’s version of Justice League will ultimately land is open to speculation, but at this point, there’s clearly nowhere for it to go but up.
