Before Meghan Markle became a royal, she was protesting the Gulf War at 10 years old, showing the public that she was born to represent people and their struggles.

Before she was the wife of Prince Harry, Markle had a life of her own. The Hollywood actress started on USA’s Suits, and before that she opened briefcases on an evening game show. But the Duchess has had a hard time making a good impression with her new following after marrying Prince Harry. The royal couple recently spoke about the possibility of relocating to Africa, which does not surprise their followers as the two have not had warm reception back in Great Britain. The Duchess has recently opened up about how hard the transition to motherhood has been for her while in the public eye.

According to Vanity Fair, there will be a new True Reality TV documentary called Meghan for President? that will show exactly what she is made of. If fans decide to watch the documentary, they will see interviews from old friends who will shed some light into the Duchess’s life before she became a royal. The cameras will show Markle’s sorority sister, Liz Lores, and her primary school teacher, Ilise Faye. This is the first time that both these women have been interviewed in regard to their relationship with Markle. Lores first met up with Markle when they were both freshmen at Northwestern University and the newest pledge class of Kappa Kappa Gamma. The sorority girl related a story of her first impression of Markle when she asked for volunteers to help out at the Glass Slipper Project. According to Lores, Markle fully understood what a difference clothing could make on a woman’s life and was a great help during the volunteer project. The Gamma sister said that she remembered a girl who came in for a dress and Markle searched the racks of dresses to help find her the perfect fit, making the young woman’s day.

While the documentary will show personal stories of the newest royal, it will also include unseen footage of Markle as a ten-year-old girl protesting against the first Gulf War. All the friends interviewed believe that Markle is a force to be reckoned with and will be the most dynamic member of the royal family since Princess Diana.

Filling Princess Diana’s footsteps is no easy feat, especially since the Markle was beloved by all and Markle is struggling to gain support from the public. Many fans already believe that this new documentary’s purpose is to try and drum up support of Markle. Whatever the reason, fans can all agree that the show will be eye-opening and possibly cast a new, brighter light on her backstory.
